Python and native mixed-mode debugging:Python and native mixed-mode debugging has a known bug when working with virtual environments. Due to the fact that Python for Windows uses a stub python.exe for venvs, Visual Studio finds and loads python.exe as a subprocess. For Python 3.8 onward - when starting a debug session, since mixed-mode doesn't support multi-process debugging, it ends up debugging just that stub process, instead of the actual app. For attach scenarios, the workaround is to attach to the correct python.exe. For launch/F5, there's no workaround, and unfortunately - you'll have to avoid venvs. For Python versions prior to 3.8, mixed mode debugging should work as expected with venvs. Running in a global environment will not cause these issues for any version of Python.See Not possible to debug both Python and Native for more information.
When an explicit proxy policy has a category address as destination address, the FortiGate needs to check if the address is a Google Translate URL for extra rating. This will trigger a keyword match. However, if a web filter profile is not set yet, WAD will crash. The fix will delay the keyword match until a web filter profile is present.
In an HA environment with multiple virtual clusters, System > HA will display statistics for Uptime, Sessions, and Throughput under virtual cluster 1. These statistics are for the entire device. Statistics are not displayed for any other virtual clusters.
PRACK will cause voipd crashes when the following conditions are met: block-unknown is disabled in the SIP profile, the PRACK message contains SDP, and PRACK fails to find any related previous transactions (this is not a usual case).
Wallpaper Engine is a matured software used by millions and well tested - it is relatively rare that there are actually bugs in the application causing crashes. If the crash message you are seeing mentions any .dll files, please have a look at the following list and see if you can find a more accurate description for specific .dll causing the crash on your system:
If you are unsure what is crashing Wallpaper Engine, please do a clean re-installation of your graphics card drivers. That means you need to first uninstall your drivers and then re-install the latest drivers after your current drivers have been fully uninstalled. Some drivers offer a "Perform clean re-installation" option in the advanced section, be sure to enable that option to automatically clean any remnants of broken drivers. You can get the latest graphics card drivers from all big vendors here:
If Wallpaper Engine crashes after Windows hibernation, then Windows is failing to correctly restore your graphics card drivers and Wallpaper Engine together. Hibernation in Windows is simply not a reliable process. You can enable the option Safe start after hibernation in Wallpaper Engine to mitigate this issue. This option will attempt to automatically restart Wallpaper Engine instead of expecting Windows to correctly work after hibernation.
This error message is almost always caused by antivirus applications or faulty drivers. If you are using an antivirus application it is very likely the reason for this crash even if no activity was reported by your antivirus app. Please make sure to configure it so that it ignores the wallpaper_engine installation directory and all important Wallpaper Engine executables. See the Wallpaper Engine Crash Quick Fix Attempt section above for more detailed information.
This is a crash in the core of the Windows kernel itself, it is usually caused by antivirus applications or broken graphics card drivers. See the quick fix section above for more information. It can also be caused by broken system components. Use the Microsoft System File Checker tool to repair possibly broken Windows files:
This is a crash in DirectX, it is usually caused by antivirus applications or broken graphics card drivers. See the quick fix section above for more information. It can also be caused by broken system components. Use the Microsoft System File Checker tool to repair possibly broken Windows files:
This is a crash in the Windows Media Foundation, it can be caused by broken graphics card drivers but it is more commonly caused by broken or missing video codecs on your system. Follow the fixes from our video fix guide to fix these types of crashes:
This crash usually happens due to an issue in Windows itself. Try to re-install the latest version of your sound card drivers as this may fix the problem. You can also fix these crashes by changing the Other application playing audio option in the Performance tab of the Wallpaper Engine settings to Keep running.
These types of crashes are caused by Razer Chroma which is part of Razer Synapse. Usually, this is caused by a faulty installation of Razer Synapse. In most cases, a clean reinstallation of Razer Synapse fixes these types of crashes:
If the crashes persist even after a clean reinstallation of Razer Synapse, please contact Razer support directly and inform them about the crashes. If they are unable to help, please reach out to us for technical support - we can look into these crashes and forward our findings to the Razer Synapse development team as well though Razer should be the main contact for this specific crash.
This type of crash occurs to due broken audio software installed on your system. This is usually caused by "sound enhancement" software, especially the ones pre-installed on various notebooks. This type of software will often cause crashes because they interact with Windows in a buggy way, try and look for "Sonic Studio" or "Nahimic" and update them. If you cannot find an update for these programs, you can also uninstall them as they are not necessary for your computer audio to function properly.
The crash has been caused by the FPS monitor and screen recording app Fraps. Fraps has not received updates since 2013 and is a heavily outdated application. Please use an alternative to Fraps as this is a Fraps bug which may never be fixed as the software is abandoned.

The NX-OSv 9000 is a virtual appliance designed to simulate the control plane of a Cisco Nexus 9000 switch. The NX-OSv 9000 shares the same software image running on Cisco Nexus 9000 hardware platform. Line card (LC) ASIC provisioning or any interaction from the control plane to rela switch ASICs are emulated by the NX-OSv 9000 software data plane.
Since Edain can be disabled it is possible to play other mods while it is installed. Before disabling Edain, launch the game and make sure that the "Random" faction is selected in Skirmish for every player present. This will avoid a crash in the case that a faction does not exist in another mod. Then disable Edain through the launcher.
In March 2006 the warez group RELOADED released a vast array of documentation about how StarForce 3 works. Alongside many technical details, it revealed how several resource-intensive procedures were implemented, such as virtual file system and functions protected within a complex virtual machine.[3][4]
Some gamers have advocated boycotts of games or publishers known to use StarForce.[6] These gamers claim that StarForce software causes system instability and crashes and that Protection Technology refuses to address the damage their software causes. In 2006, a $5 million lawsuit was filed against Ubisoft for using StarForce in their games on the allegations that StarForce compromises PC security,[7] slows down PCs, causes crashes, and even damages optical drives.[8] However, the case was dropped two years later due to lack of evidence.[8] 2b1af7f3a8
